We were so honored and grateful to have received this years MLK 2024 Group Community Service Award from the distinguished Martin Luther King Jr. Association of Asheville and Buncombe County. We wanted to share this treasured award and recognition with all our volunteers and supporters throughout Western North Carolina. We can do nothing without your support! It's an extreme honor to be recognized!

The Asheville ABC Board is works with The Arc of Buncombe County to provide training and support in the community to prevent alcohol exposed pregnancies. Prenatal alcohol exposure is the leading preventable cause of birth defects in the United States. The Asheville ABC Board promotes awareness, support, safety, and success for children and family services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and addictions. If you have questions about alcohol and pregnancy, or need help, please call us at: (828) 253-1255.

Our team assists individuals who may not understand certain procedures and advocates on their behalf.

Members of The Arc of Buncombe County work with educators to make sure that our clients receive the most effective means of education based on their needs.
