Annual Meeting
Join us to learn more about our year, our annual report, and celebrate educators in our community. We will meet at AB Tech in the Conference Center. Tickets are $25 and include membership for the year. You can purchase your tickets online or call 253-1255.
Spring Fling
Join us for The Arc of Buncombe County’s Annual Spring Fling. Donations will support our specialized summer camp scholarship fund.
National Love our Children Day
National Love Our Children Day on the first Saturday in April focuses on raising awareness on child abuse during National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This day honors all children and encourages us to develop loving, respectful relationships with our children.

Child abuse and neglect affect an estimated 700,000 children each year in the United States. Of these, the youngest are the most vulnerable. In 2015 in the United States, statistics from the U.S. Administration for Children & Families estimate that 1,670 children died as a result of abuse and neglect.
World Autism Awareness Day
World Autism Awareness Day is a global healthcare event celebrated on the 2nd of April every year, about the acceptance, support and the inclusion of autistic people, and for advocacy.
World Down Syndrome Day
World Down Syndrome Day is marked each year on March 21, beginning in 2007.
Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
Every March, the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities (NACDD) and its partners collaborate to lead Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM). The annual campaign highlights how people with and without disabilities come together to form strong communities.
