Did You Know?
The Asheville ABC Board is works with The Arc of Buncombe County to provide training and support in the community to prevent alcohol exposed pregnancies. Prenatal alcohol exposure is the leading preventable cause of birth defects in the United States. The Asheville ABC Board promotes awareness, support, safety, and success for children and family services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and addictions. Members of The Arc of Buncombe County work with educators to make sure that our clients receive the most effective means of education based on their needs.
