The Arc of Buncombe County's Health and Wellness Program Provides Classes in Local Schools

 

The Arc of Buncombe County’s Health & Wellness program implements twenty-five classes per week in seven local schools within Buncombe County and Asheville City School system. 

 

Through The Arc of Buncombe County’s Health & Wellness program students with intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy the benefits of healthy nutritional snacks, nutritional education, yoga therapeutics, dance, and mindfulness.

During the summer months The Arc of Buncombe County’s Health & Wellness program hosts a Resiliency & Mindfulness summer camp to create a bridge in learning and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

​

The Arc of Buncombe County is passionate about helping individuals achieve their potential through education, family support, services and programs that enrich their lives.
